In-Home and Community Supports

Day programs provide a variety of services involving meaningful activities including community outings, socialization experiences, paid work and volunteer opportunities, and recreation/leisure activities. Services are available to individuals who receive residential services through Citizen Care, people served by other service providers, and to adults who live at home with their natural families. Day programs operate Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Citizen Care’s three community-based programs are licensed by and funded through the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and Bureau of Licensing. The Center for Community Supports and the Senior Citizen Center have a dual license through the Pennsylvania Department of Aging as Older Adult Daily Living Centers. Since 1978, CCI has been accredited by The Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL), an international organization that is committed to the enhancement of community quality of life for people with disabilities, and remains the longest continually accredited Agency by CQL. In addition to its international accreditation status, CCI is recognized locally for quality and excellence in services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
